Winding Down

Went and saw my house today for a final walk through before everything becomes official on Wednesday, also i’ve made quite a bit of progress on my WhySpam.me. Implemented this great jquery login effect . Also implemented a feature to email you if you forget your password. On the systems administration front, the server is stable and I can keep all of my processes up and working for extended periods of time. Not too bad building a web and email from scratch with absolutely no background in Linux.

I do enjoy Rackspace Cloud Servers A crazy cheap way to get my own scalable bare-bones server. Previously I used dreamhost and Morph but neither allowed me the flexability of running my own server. Sure it’s way more work, but its really nice not to have to develop an app based on someone else’s rules. As my WhySpam inches closer towards being a live web application, and my house inches closer to closing, i like to appreciate the calm before the storm. While i’m rambling here is a great post for web entrepreneurship by the founder of peepcode.
